Use one on my 12g shotguns. Easy and effective. Need to get one for my 9mm.

I have various caliber boresnakes at the shop if you need.
Depending on the type of ammo heads used and number of rounds fired first you might need a bore cleaner such as bore gel or copper removing fluid in order to remove any lead or copper fouling.  We have the Hoppe Bore Gel and the Hoppe Copper Terminator at our shop and they work fine.  Just apply to the barrel bore for a few minutes and pull through the boresnake a few times.
