Thats the AA12 auto shotgun.
Re-hash of the assualt shotgun developed by Maxwell Atchison 30+ years ago.
At that time was a novel approach using advanced primer ignition ( as do all sub machineguns) to lock the bolt.
The inventor really knew his math and stuck his neck out on the idea. Anyway it worked.

This time round, the idea (or patent what have you) is said to have been "heavily modified".
Watch it go nowhere very fast.

Wettinger, I don't shoot alot when I'm hunting because here in Malta there isn't much game birds to shoot on. Therefore only a handful of shots during hunting. But I shoot quite alot on clay pigeons. I can assure you that in 4 years, since when I bought the gun, I shoot thousands of shots and never changed the firing pin!

About three years ago I went with a friend of mine to buy an O/U and the dealer showed him a new Baikal for only the price of Lm250 at that time.

I had a Baikal O/U for many years as my knockabout/foul weather rabbit gun (in Britain).  It withstood a lot of use and abuse, and never let me down.  Not pretty, but as others have said, definitely functional.  I nearly choked on my tea and biscuits at the Lm250 price tag you mention though.  Like Russian cars, the value drops off these things like crazy, and used ones in Britain at least change hands for a hundred quid or less.

nemesis which dealer did you go to? and were you seeing the baikal with the chrome finish on the receiver or the black one? also were you seeing the sporting version (approx 29.5'') or the shorter barrel version (approx 26'')? and like wettinger said you have to make a distinction between rizzini E B and I, I think locally I are the 'cheaper' version - the actual branding on the gun is FAIR - fabrica armi isodoro rizzini...
