  Something new under the sun
« on: December 08, 2010, 17:02:33 PM » by Vincent
Every day is indeed a discovery.

" The Anatomist and the Clitoris

In 1559, Matteo Realdo Colombo, a lecturer in surgery at the University of Padua, published a book called "De re anatomica" in which, writing about the "seat of woman's delight," he named the clitoris "the love of Venus" or Amor Veneris, calling it "pretty and useful." Colombo was the first to use the term "labia," "vagina" and "rugae" (the soft inner folds of the vagina). His claim of being the first to discover the clitoris and its function, at least as an anatomist, was disputed by another Paduan, Gabriel Fallopius (yes, the Fallopian tubes are named after this guy). All this wrangling over the little ol' clitoris Smiley Anyway, in the 17th century, a Danish anatomist by the name of Kasper Bartholin came forward arguing that the clitoris was widely known since the second century. Perhaps by Claudius Galen, the court physician of Marcus Aurelius? "

Speaking of the gall of some scientists.  Just look at this.
These two "scientists" are excited they managed to teach a highly intelligent Gorilla that one day it is going to die !!!
Of all the intelligent things they could have taught it, this is what they picked on.
They are even looking forward to push the Gorilla to alcoholism and possibly suicide.
The video starts with showing Quigley as a playful muscled adolescent and ends up looking like a depressed mental case thanks to these two morons' project.

Scientist says "Quigley You Die. You will die soon !"
Quiggley replies "You are a moron scientist" !!!!
I guess he was thinking about how to best break her neck  Grin

It has to be the Onion guys.
Read the caption at the bottom of the clip at the start :
Science Watch – Quigley’s pet cat euthanized to help teach him the permanence of death !
That should get the message through to Quigley. Grin

Be a sport Mildot - Seeking who really first discovered the clitoris is indeed an interesting quest Grin. In my opinion the first to discover the clit was Eve herself Wink.
