"Matt modern bluing"...if you mean parkerizing, then the short answer is probably you wont find it.

However ask me in about  a week and I might have an answer for you.

Blueing is just a colouration of the metal, the texture i.e. high gloss or matte, is the finish of the METAL. Some guns seem to have been sand blasted as a surface finish, this will then come out matte.

The matt coating mentiond by holow Point is not sand blasting and not parkerizing. Its some type of other coating  Huh as we see it on Berreta shotguns.
Sand blasting finish is done by Gejtu.,

Certainly, a matte finish could be anything.

just like the S&W-M&P series Revolver ?

If it is PVD   I dont know, but very very similar.!!
May be when hollow Point see this pic, can tell his opinion.

At Magru Rabat I seen gun blue in a a blue plastic colour bottle that  it is  for sale  Wink!!!
