  AACTS - AMACS
« on: October 04, 2016, 19:36:01 PM » by AACTS
Dear Members and Friends.

Today AACTS and AMACS have written history for the Maltese shooting community. The work for this achievement had started during last year's presidency of Mr. Nicholas Schembri. His vision, with the support of the executive committee has always been for the Maltese target shooter to have a united community to achieve the goals of a National Shooting Range.
Credit also goes to AMACS president Mr Stephen Petroni who worked to achieve this unity. Together we have laid the foundations for the launch of a Shooting Federation that will be inclusive of all the shooting clubs and to help regulate strict standards for the benefit of our community.
The announcement was made at our new club-house in St Venera in the presence of the Parliamentary Secretary Chris Agius, Opposition spokesman David Agius and the Weapons Board chairman Brig. Maurice Calleja.

The Parliamentary Secretary praised the cooperation achieved between the two Associations. He also stated that the national target shooting range project is on track with preliminary studies at a very advanced stage. We are  committed and ready with our partners to be involved and to make this dream come true.
As President of AACTS and on behalf of the executive committee, I presented a cheque for a loan of 5,000 to AMACS President Stephen Petroni in support of the new 10 meter indoor range project that is being set-up at the club house at Tigne Point. AMACS President has reciprocated with a kind gesture by stating that the new AMACS shooting facility will be open to AACTS members at the same rates as for AMACS members.

Our vision is focused. The National Target Shooting Range is a reality. The Government is committed and so are AACTS and AMACS committed to lead our passion to a brighter future.
